We do not maintain any central servers that store your personal data. This means:

Your browsing history is private and local.
Your collections are stored only on your phone.
We cannot see, access, or sell your data because we don't have it.

On-Device AI Models

Unarchive.today utilizes advanced AI models for summarization (Gemma-2B) and transcription (Whisper). Unlike typical AI services that process your data in the cloud, our application downloads these models directly to your device.

Offline Processing: Summaries are generated locally without an internet connection.
No Data Uploads: The text from your articles is never sent to our servers or any third-party AI provider.
Model Management: You have full control over downloading or deleting these models via the app settings.

Webpage Parsing & Rendering

When you use the "Native Reader View," Unarchive.today parses the HTML content of the archived webpage to provide a clean, distraction-free experience.

Transient Processing: Parsing happens in real-time as you view the page.
No Content Storage: We do not store the content of the webpages you visit on any external servers.
Third-Party Content: The content displayed belongs to the original publishers and/or is preserved by archive.today. Unarchive.today is a tool for viewing this content and does not claim ownership or responsibility for the source material.

Website Analytics (Landing Page Only)

Our landing page (unarchive.today) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve the user experience and content.

                Important: Google Analytics is ONLY used on the landing page website. The mobile app
                itself does NOT use any analytics or tracking.
            

Anonymous Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics such as page views, time on site, and geographic location (country level only).
